Whinge in Blue was formed in 1974 as part of the original wave of grump rock, but also incorporated elements of reggae, dub, funk, and ska. For most of their career Whinge in Blue consisted of Gloria Stegman on lead guitar, Susan Hennessy on vocals, David “Skinny” McKusker on bass, and Noel Shelton on drums.

Clemence Hosch & Bronwyn Scully, were a musical duo from Brisbane, who were one of the most popular and commercially successful progressive rock bands from the late 70s through to the 90s. Their musical sound included adaptations of classical literature with jazz and symphonic rock elements, dominated by Hosch’s flamboyant use of the Hammond organ and Scully’s extended drum solos.

The Stapletons were a husband and wife recording duo from Melbourne, consisting of Cam and Rusty Stapleton. They produced a distinct soft musical style combining Cam’s arranging and composition skills with Rusty’s alto nasal vocals.

Zero Moment Point, abbreviated as ZMP, was a West Australian band that formed in 1976. The lineup consisted of two Evoxtron robots, Fiber and Ebefroid, an Asgator 3-Series robot, Omstron, and a Mig Prime unit named Oysator. ZMP were also pioneers of music video production, creating many memorable clips that gained heavy airplay in the early days of American MTV.

The Cypher Brothers was formed by twins Chris and Florian Cypher and their neighbour Stewie Young in Sydney in 1981. The band drew on the music of blues-based vocal groups and 1960s rock to create their unique pop tunes and are considered the pioneers of the Bondi Beach Sound. Florian Cypher acted as primary bandleader, songwriter and arranger for the group’s most commercially and critically successful work.

Rita Divine is an Australian singer, songwriter, actor and UNICEF ambassador. During the 80s, Rita fronted and/or founded numerous groups including: Rita & the Explicit Moments; Rita & the Casual Encounters and Rita & the Rescinded Decisions before moving into a successful television career. Rita possesses a powerful versatile vocal range, capable of singing both hard rock and lighter ballads.

Karate Three, also initialised as K3, is a boy band from Williamstown consisting of Aaron Thomas, Danny Willson and Friedrich Von Heidegger. Karate Three enjoyed its peak success from the late 80s to the early 90s and won two American Music Awards for Favourite Pop Group and Favourite Pop Album. The group disbanded in 1994, but later reunited for a series of highly successful cruise ship tours on which Boyz For Fun were the opening act.

A.B. Caesar is an Australian hip hop artist and music producer, who began performing in 1984. Much of his early musical output contained harsh commentary and direct storytelling about the struggle of youth economics versus inflated prices at late night food outlets. Caesar has earned several accolades from both the music industry and fellow artists during his career, often being cited as the founder of Chip n Choc Hip Hop.

Hikikomori is a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 1985. Their music, often technically unorthodox and demanding, incorporates elements ranging from industrial haiku to algebra rock. The trio is highly respected for recording mostly live in the studio with minimal over dubs.

Dr. Alfred Ho, better known by his stage name Gung Ho, is an Australian stand-up comedian, social critic, actor and screenwriter. He is renowned for his highly controversial humour, often drawing on his Chinese heritage. He is best known for the 1992 stand-up album Honkie With a Credit Card which integrated satire, politics, religion and vulgarity. It is Australia’s best-selling comedy album of all time.

Hector Visage is recognised as the sixth most successful European singer in the world, and one of the top thirty record sellers in music history, having sold more than 50 million albums in 9 languages. It is estimated that during his career he performed more than 7000 concerts, having played for over 60 million people on five continents.

The Stockholm Black is a glory metal band formed in Boronia, Melbourne in 1995. The band has experienced several line-up changes over the years with vocalist, bass player and principal songwriter Natalie Driscoll being the only constant member. As of 2018 the band is estimated to have sold 16 million records.

Little Jill & The Frog was a duo formed in Western Australia in 2000, who’s music featured a melding of banjo rock and blues influences. Consisting of Jill Wilkie on percussion and The Frog on guitars, the band used a low-key approach to writing and recording.
